Attention: For your convenience the Naja will be happy to help you with your tool lists if you call 303-426-6284. The Naja Tool and Supply will be glad to take your order, process it with your credit card and have it waiting for you to pick up or at your request , will hand deliver to the school for you. Students enrolled in DSMA recieve 10 % discount on tools and supplies at The Naja, located right next door to the school.
We encourage you to obtain your supplies well in advance of your class or workshop.

Saltwater Etching

Saltwater solution MUST be prepared 24 hours prior to class. 2 Cups Sodium Chloride & 1 Quart Distilled Water in a mixing container, 1 liter w/screw on lid, plasitic or glass - Mason jar works well.

Wire connectors, alligator clips, wire nuts or screw-on lids (to connect battery holder leads to copper wire that attaches to copper squares to be etched) (Hardware store) Easiest to use are the WIRE NUTS

 

1 square container at least 3 inches deep

Etching bath chamber, glass or plastic, deep enough to immerse 2-2”x2” pieces to be etched (3”x3”x3” would be a good size.  Not much larger than that or the metal takes longer to etch.)
