PMC Beginning
Instructor: Darlene Armstrong

Prerequisite: None
Class Limit: 10

Students will learn the history and uses of the different types of PMC on the market at present, as well as the different ways these products are used and fired.

Students will learn and practice making a contemporary bezel setting to set a cubic zirconium into, as well as patterned pendant body and bail. Students will go home with a great looking pendant.

All of the techniques taught in this workshop show how to make a PMC piece that looks very similar visually to those one would see in a piece of jewelry that has been traditionally metalsmithed.

This class is the building block for student advancement into PMC Rings, PMC Beads, PMC Advanced Techniques, Advanced Stone Setting techniques and Enameling on PMC workshops.

Various finishing techniques and patina options will be discussed.  If the student has time she/he will be able to practice these techniques.
