PMC Beads Workshop
Instructor: Darlene Armstrong

Prerequisite: None
Class Limit: 10

In this  8 hour workshop, students will have the opportunity to learn how to form and create various hollow beads with and without using wood clay forms.  The wood clay form beads will be fired in a kiln and the beads without the wood centers will be fired with a torch.  Some beads cannot be made without using the wood clay centers and are very unique and beautiful.  There are many ways to make beads without using a kiln as well. Both techniques will be taught and students will go home with 3 different finished beads.  This class facilitates hands on teaching to ensure the success of each student.

Students will receive instruction on the use of a kiln, set it up for holding bead shapes, finishing techniques and various patina options. Come ready to have an exciting day of fun and creative play.
