Heavy-Wall Bezel Setting

Prerequisite:  Metalsmithing 1

Limit:  6

Duration:  14 Hours (2 Days) 

Please bring the following items with you to the workshop: 

Basic tools: 

          saw frame

          files

          safety glasses

          finishing tools

Specific tools and supplies: 

          2/0 saw blades

          320 grit sand paper

          solder - hard, medium, easy

          minimum of 2” x 6” strip of 20 gauge sterling silver

          chasing hammer

Cabochons will be provided in the kit fee included in the tuition cost.  (You can bring your own cabochons, but they may not meet the specifications of wall height and must be round, no larger than 20mm in diameter.  Randy will advise if you bring your own.) 

The tool steel to make your own setting tool will also be furnished in the kit.
