Forming with Miniture Stakes and Hammers
Instructor: Bill Fretz
Pre-req: Metalsmithing I

This is a great opportunity to learn from the expert who designs the best hammers in the industry! Explore convex and concave forms using Fretz’s hammers and stakes.  The first day students learn to make a concave cuff bracelet and also a circle mobius pendant using the tools and techniques Bill has perfected.  The cuff bracelet you make is a featured article by Bill in the July 2010 Jewelry artist magazine.

The second day will focus on a convex napkin ring which is then fluted with direct hammering.  This Workshop is full of tips and tricks on anticlastic work, hammering, texturing and much more.  Join us this September for this 2 day workshop to learn all the multiple design options one simple form can produce through the use of these fantastic hammers!
