This one-day workshop allows the participant to explore designs beyond those included in the Bangles I workshop. In addition to creating new patterns, new materials will be included. All participants must have completed the Bangles I workshop. Participants should be able to work somewhat independently with the guidance of handouts and the instructor’s assistance as needed. Learn to work with Argentium, and incorporate the perfect balls that Argentium consistently produces. The workshop will allow participants to choose from a variety of twisted wire patterns to explore individually. The concepts of mono-elements twists will be explained, as well as bi-elements, multi-elements and compound elements. Materials can be purchased the day of the workshop, but tools used in Bangles I should be brought with each student. Participants are encouraged to bring scraps from previous projects and even failed attempts with the idea of incorporating that work into new designs. Also plan to bring any wire you might have on hand that could become a beautiful bangle. 11/22/2011 jk
